Welcome to the Brahma Kumaris Malaysia.
What is meditation?
Meditation is the art of managing your thoughts. It is a conscious effort to focus on positive thoughts to produce positive experiences. It enables you to have a deeper understanding of yourself, your positive qualities and your goodness. In time, this understanding becomes a natural part of your day to day awareness, enhancing your ability to face challenges in life, cope with change and improve your relationships with others.
Meditation taught by the Brahma Kumaris is an ancient system of meditation that enables us to return to a state of inner peace, power and self-worth by emerging the original qualities and virtues. It provides many answers to age-old questions such as ‘who am I’, ‘where do I come from’ and ‘where am I going’.
The difference between this meditation and other forms of meditation is that there is no need for physical exercises or postures, no chanting, no mantras and no gurus. It opens up a pathway to true peace of mind and a natural state of happiness. At its deepest level, this technique of meditation enhances self-awareness leading ultimately to self-realization and transformation.
What are the benefits of meditation?
The benefits of meditation are enormous. It calms our mind and body. In these fast and frenetic times, it has the most important ability to replenish mental and emotional energy.
Meditation enables you to create new attitudes and responses to life, giving you a clear spiritual understanding of yourself.
Meditation is the process of re-discovering, enjoying and using the positive qualities latent within you. Like any skill, meditation requires practice to achieve positive and satisfying results. By doing a little every day, it soon becomes a natural and easy habit, which generously rewards you for the little effort it involves.
